Before we get started, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all of you who have kindly participated in this event - as speakers, moderator and participants. I do feel so grateful and excited to welcome and have all of you in our today's event: 'Indonesia-China Investment Business Forum 2020', themed "Doing Business with Wonderful Indonesia".

First of all, allow me to share with you that our business forum today is crystallization of wonderfulness and gratefulness as we finally have the rare opportunity to hold this event after almost a year of strenuous struggle against the pandemic --- big appreciation for Chinese Government which succeeded to handle the catastrophe.

This forum is also aimed at connecting two nations in the field of business and investment which I am truly convinced, will greatly promote the furtherance of long-lasting friendly ties and cooperation between Indonesia and China.

I also would like to highlight here that Indonesian government has stipulated a new law called ‘Omnibus Law’ which aims to revise several prevailing laws to settle fundamental issues that are curtailing business environment competitiveness in Indonesia.
The law practically simplifies the business license process across almost all business sectors, including maritime and fisheries, energy and mineral resources, electricity, infrastructure, and transportation.

With this law, Investors will enjoy a number of benefits, such as: more solid business certainty, streamlined regulations, fiscal incentives, non- fiscal relief such as ease of licensing, easier access to investment locations or sites and provision by the government of certain infrastructure for investment locations or sites, and many more.

Distinguished participants, Ladies and Gentlemen,
Indonesia and China commemorate the 70th anniversary of bilateral relations, whereas the relationship was greatly enhanced with Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership signed on 25 April 2005 and IndonesiaChina Comprehensive Strategic Partnership signed on 2 October 2013. A mountain of cooperation in various areas were formed since then.
I am proud to share with you that during the period of January September 2020, Indonesia’s export to China reached USD 26.7 billion, increasing 6.89% year-on-year. The import from China reached USD 29 billion, decreasing 10.91% year-one-year.
This number makes Indonesia the 14th China's biggest trading partner and the 4th China's biggest ASEAN trading partner.
During the same period, according to Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board, China's investment in Indonesia valued at USD
3.5 billion, increasing 6% year-one-year. Subsequently, China has become the 2nd biggest investor and Hong Kong makes the 3rd biggest investor valuing at USD 2.5 billion.
Our distinguished speakers from Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board will elaborate more extensively about this very matter.

I am also pleased to inform you that Indonesia is the only country which has succeeded to synergize the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) with Indonesia's 'Global Maritime Fulcrum' (GMF) through the signing of Memorandum of Understanding on Jointly Promoting Cooperation within the Framework of the Global Maritime Fulcrum Vision and the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Initiative.
The GMF concept is to build connectivity between Indonesia and the world in order to streamline cooperation for the sake of beneficially mutual goal and shared future.
Under the framework of BRI and GMF, 4 economic corridors have been developed in Indonesia, namely:
1.North Sumatra which is being developed as “Economic and Business Hub for ASEAN”;
2.North Kalimantan as “Energy and Mineral hub”;
3.Balias“Hightech&CreativeEconomy Hub”;
4.North Sulawesi as “Pacific Rim Economic Hub”.
The area of cooperation includes the development of techno park, industrial park, waste treatment project, power plant, e- commerce, transportation, port, special economic zone, 5G, sister-port, and fisheries industry, such as:
1.Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway Project.
2.Centre of technology digital development in Turtle Island of Bali (Pulau Kura-Kura Bali).
3.Karawang and Tangerang Industrial Park.
4.Kuala Tanjung Port.
5.Car Industrial Park.
6.Morowali Industrial Park.
7.and many more.
